As anyone with a modicum of awareness will have noticed, Bertha has been on hold for rather too long a time. This has not been out of laziness on my part, but because I am currently deep in what we corporate scriptwriters laughingly refer to as the 'silly season'. Which this year has proved to be rather sillier than usual, I may say.
Hang in there, chaps. The 'ole battlebus will get rolling again some time in the new year, I'm sure. This story has been 30 years in the telling, so I figure a couple more months ain't a-gonna make THAT much difference.
Love, Mark

I have a lot of patience.
Just found your blog. Am interested because we did a similar trip in 70's as well. I remember Amsterdam exactly as your photos and words portray. Even the brewery tour every day for the lager and bread roll breakfast. We got a bit waylaid (!) and stayed in Amsterdam for about 3 weeks as I remember. ;)
Look forward to next instalments.
I'm waiting...
hummmm hummmm....
BLIMEY!!!! COMMENTS!!!!!
OK, OK, already. Just give me a few more days.
Luke - welcome. My first act on restarting Bertha will be to haul you on board as a hitch-hiker...
In fact I've done it. Welcome aboard, Luke. Anyone who knows how to get waylaid in Amsterdam gets my vote...
